Each capsule is made of 100% organic vegan natural plant cellulose(not gelatin) and contains a slow release formula of 11 essential nutrients which will feed your aquarium plants for 1-3 months. Most effective for root feeding plants (Swords, Val, Sag, ect) but will also aid in the growth of water column feeds too. 

  For heavily planted aquariums I suggest staggering them out in a grid pattern approximately 4 inches apart. For lightly planted aquariums simply place one or two capsules directly under a the plant you want to feed (two for large root systems such as large sword plants) For best results make sure the capsules are completely buried under the substrate all the way to the bottom of the tank, this will allow your plants to make the best use of the fertilizer.  

 Every aquarium is different, the amount needed will depend on many factors such as Temperature, lighting, nitrate levels, frequency of water changes, co2 injection, plant density among other variables.

I recommend a 15-20% water change for established aquariums at least once a month :)

If you're new to root tabs please start slow, allow the plants a month or so to adjust the feeding. They will tell you when it's time to feed them if you pay attention to the clues, over feeding with root tabs can cause problems with your plants so be sure not to over do it!
