male bristlenose pleco will prefer 1.25" to 2" cave openings. They like a tight fit. These caves are perfect for breeding your bristlenose and other cave dwelling breeders such as apistogramma and other dwarf cichlid types!
A small pointed end allows any fry born to have a safe place in the cave before they venture out for the first time! Less chance of parents squishing them by accident as they hide in the cone shaped end!
